About the IssueColumbus, Indiana is a city with much to be valued. It is a nationally recognized architectural hub, has a tight-knit community for a city of its size, and is often recognized as one of the best U.S. cities to raise a family.
However, within Columbus exists a dark problem: people are going hungry and are living without shelter. Whole families, lone teenagers and veterans, and others with nothing more than perhaps the companionship of a loving pet are being left out on the streets. These people are thought not to exist, or are thought to have caused the challenges they now face. What most people don’t recognize, however, is the fact that homelessness can affect anyone for any number of reasons. What CHIRP, Inc. hopes to bring to the community of Columbus, Indiana is the realization that, no matter the circumstances, nobody deserves to suffer from homelessness. |
